Synopsis

Tired of migrating in flocks like always, free-wheeling wild goose Peng decides to travel southward to the Spring Lake

alone, in an attempt to live life on his own terms. He soars and dives, showing off his excellent flying skills until some ducks appear suddenly when he is

taking a dive. To avoid the ducks, he runs into a dilapidated temple, seriously breaking his wings. Moreover, due to the accident, he is saddled with Chao and Chi,

two lost ducklings.

Out of guilt, Peng grudgingly takes care of the two ducklings on their way to finding the wild duck flock.

The weather is getting cold.  Peng must help Chao and Chi find their flock before winter comes. However, with broken wings, he can only walk like a duck;

what’s worse, there are unexpected difficulties waiting for this makeshift trio. During their adventure, they meet some new friends,

and Chao grows to a brave boy by learning from his heroic “mommy” Peng. Before the journey is over, the trio has become a real tight-knit family.

However, the journey ends at a Beijing roast duck restaurant where the duck flock is found.
